Great hotel stay close to home. I had home repairs being done & needed to be out of the house for a few nights and found this hotel to be convenient and priced well. It was clean, safe & offered a full complimentary breakfast. If your new in Austin visiting its very close to downtown to enjoy our beautiful city & arts.
The lady in the front desk was very helpful & very professional. She helped me with all my needs & concerns. Wish every clerks on a hotel front desk are like her. Great job Theresa, keep up the good work, you're AMAZING !!!
This Inn was a life saver! After dealing with a scammy hotel up north, the Inn still took walk-in’s during the middle of the night. Thank you to Gloria for saving our vacation!
Great place to spend the night while on the road! The hotel was very clean. THE MOST COMFORTABLE HOTEL BED I have slept on in years. Good water pressure in the showers and a good breakfast in the morning. Walking distance to a few restaurants but the area is quiet at night. I'll be back next year!
Great staff especially "M&M" (Michael and Mariah), who went "above and beyond" to help us in every respect. My wife had fairly serious outpatient surgery on June 24th, and our accommodations were just right for her to rest and recuperate. Since we came all the way from the Waco area for the surgery, we decided to stay an extra night Michael and Mariah were very accommodating in getting us the same room for that extra night. My wife is 80 and I am 78 and we were exhausted because the day prior to her surgery I had an appointment with my doctor in Smithville. Michael and Mariah are the epitome of the best in hotel management.
I have visited many different hotels, my job requires it, I am an IHG member and they always welcome me and recognize me as a member at every hotel. But at this hotel I felt discriminated against. When I arrived it was almost midnight on September 20, 2020. I greeted the girl but she didn’t return my greeting. I asked for a room and her response disconcerted me: I need an ID and a credit card (her way of asking me for it made me feel like I was in front of an ICE agent, at least that’s how she made me feel; I am Latino). I gave her my ID and my company’s credit card and she didn’t want to accept it because it didn’t have my name on it. I explained that I always use that card and her refusal was categorical. I had to give her my personal card. The next morning at checkout I asked another receptionist for my receipt and told her to charge my company’s card and she did.
Our kids live 5 minutes from the hotel, so it's very convenient. It's not fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, and close to everywhere we like to go. The included breakfast is decent, and saves about a third of the price of the room versus going out to eat.
Gloria was absolutely amazing at Holiday Inn. She welcomed us warmly and handled everything with true professionalism from the moment we arrived. Because of Gloria’s outstanding customer service, we truly enjoyed our stay. She made us feel valued and comfortable throughout our visit. We will definitely be returning to Holiday Inn specifically because of Gloria. Highly recommend!
